Explanations of terms, delimitations and scopes of application of digital building materials process control.
Definitions & Scope
What does building materials process control cover?
The software coordinates orders, material quantities, delivery dates and quality inspections for building materials companies. The focus is on the digital recording and tracking of all material movements – from ordering via delivery to release for installation. The mapping of target and actual quantities is project-related and visible to all parties involved.
Delimitation from classic construction planning
The platform does not replace static calculations, tendering or scheduling according to ÖNORM. It supplements these services with an operational control level: Who delivers which quantity to which structural component and when? Which inspection protocols are available? The software documents the material flow and thus creates a reliable data basis for the project management.
Scope of application for deliveries
Deliveries are recorded from the supplier's factory gate to handover at the construction site. The agreed delivery conditions and the actually documented delivery times are decisive. Deviations between planned and actual material quantities are automatically flagged and must be approved by the site management.
Quality inspections and releases
Each quality inspection is digitally recorded with date, inspector and result. Release for installation only takes place after complete documentation of all required evidence. If an inspection report is missing or the batch deviates from the specification, the material item is blocked and the site management is informed.
User responsibility
The responsibility for the correctness of the recorded data lies with the respective users. The software supports this through mandatory fields, plausibility checks and an audit-proof history. However, it does not replace the professional review by authorized persons in accordance with the applicable construction regulations in Austria.
Data basis and currency
All information on material quantities, delivery times and inspections is based on user input as well as interfaces to suppliers. The platform assumes no liability for the completeness of external data. Recommendations for demand planning serve as a decision-making aid and do not replace a binding quantity determination by specialist planners.
